Biography
Thomas H. Schraeder, Professor of Theatre and Head of the Lighting Design MFA program, holds a BA from Loyola University in Chicago and an MFA from Yale University . Schraeder designed Arthur Kopit’s Wings on Broadway, and has designed off-Broadway for the Public Theatre, Westbeth Theatre, La Mama ETC and the Manhattan Theatre Club. His regional design credits include work at the Delaware Theatre Company and the Yale Repertory Theatre. In Michigan he has worked with the Interlochen School of the Arts, Jewish Ensemble Theatre, The Attic Theatre, The BoarsHead Theatre, the University of Michigan, Michigan State University and the Children’s Ballet Theatre of Lansing.
